parallel windsor (2023)
Unknowingly growing up neurodiverse was challenging. I struggled with expression, felt outcast, introverted into my imagination, and dreamt. After play, art became my language and therapy, it built my confidence and freed me. The struggles of expression in society have inspired me to help others.
Parallel Windsor commissioned me to promote and participate in their Festival of Inclusivity. Using my expressionistic and figurative style, I created a large digital illustration. The theme WAS happiness and the subject matter WAs a series of characters celebrating inclusivity and diversity. i also created various prints and t-shirts. This body of work WAS exhibited alongside my peers’ artwork, and I HELD art wellbeing workshops at the event ALSO. TheY WERE activity led creative expression workshops for interested visitors and their parent/guardians.
